A long Antique late Victorian guard chain made up of fancy 9ct Yellow Gold links which articulate wonderfully together and lead to a claw clasp at the end which may have been used to attach a pocket watch or a cylinder of fur known as a Muff to keep the wearers hands warm in winter.
It’s a beautiful piece with a lovely solid weight to it. It can be worn as one long chain or wrapped twice around the neck.
